Michael was our MC from when I was serving in Oakland, Ca. Under him… our sacristy was always impeccable, the altar boys well behaved and most importantly we had a beautiful liturgy. We became good friends and when I was assigned to Africa, and he retired, he wrote me saying: “I want to somehow give back to God all that God has given me”. So he founded Funds for the Missions, a non-profit (501c3) to help Missions in Africa. Few years later and we can say, with much gratitude, that thanks to Michael and his Funds for the Missions, and to only mention this, hundreds of young men and women are receiving a good Catholic education. Michael does this fully, 100%, as a volunteer. May God continue to bless him and his family, give him a long, blessed and happy life.
