Confession: one of God’s most awesome gifts and joys of Missionary life.

Holy Sacraments, Life At The Mission, Missionary

Have you ever thought of it? Every tribunal in the world has two options for you: guilty or acquitted. In God’s tribunal of confession… only one: forgiven

That alone should have anyone rushing, with tears of joy, to the Catholic Church. It is truly awesome! It is one of the many signs of the true Church of the true God.

But here at the Mission, God’s mercy shine even more: We are authorized to give absolution even without understanding the local dialects. How much loving can God get? He wishes so much to forgive… He delegates it to his Priests and… in the case of these native populations… the Priest doesn’t even need to understand what you are saying.

So… what is keeping us from rushing to Him, with no fear, true Father that He is?

But it gets better: when we visit someone for confession, we have the awesome chance of bringing that repentant child of God nothing less than God himself, in the Holy Eucharist.

How awesome it is to be a Priest, especially a Missionary Priest!!
