Last week I saw an ad for a beautiful horse sold at an auction for ten million dollars. Nothing against that. I love horses too. But considering how much more beautiful a soul of a child is… and realizing that, while there is so much money out there for pure breed horses, yet we have to struggle so, so much for grooming and saving souls made at the image and likeness of God… it just hurts.

Dear Missionary From Afar you have been so generous and we are so, so grateful. But the truth is that with the Covid crisis donations have pulled back and our Mission is struggling to survive. Some have been generous donating to a couple of different building projects. But time has come for us to purchase the uniforms and school materials (school opens on November 9th) and… we are stuck! We are short $36,000.

So, in all simplicity, I am reaching out to all those that haven’t yet donated, or those that have but perhaps can still help. If worse comes to worst, I will borrow money. But who wants that? Our school is a beautiful apostolate that is leading so many children to God. In a world so full of evil in which we live… in all humility I can say that our humble Mission, School and Orphanage are true beacons of grace and beauty. So allow me, once again, to invite you to be part of that missionary beauty.

There you have it… in all simplicity. Please go to www.friendsofthemissions.com and generously donate.

God bless your generous heart!

A Long Journey to the Beginning of a Miraculous Recovery

Here is the latest (miraculous) update, as shared by Canon Fragelli’s sister, Maria. Henrique was in the Thoracic Surgery unit for two weeks, where the therapists began to sit him up every day to strengthen his upper body muscles.  In the first days, it was very difficult for him, and his breathing increased.  But over the last
