I sailed to Gabon with the purpose of braking away from some of my habits. Gabon was for me an easy destination because I had already lived there and above all because the conditions to go volunteer at the Mission were not as burdensome as that of other organizations that demand all sorts of previous formation and experiences. Also because the activities that we are asked to do, at the Mission, are of a great variety, adaptable to the competences of each one. I was asked to work on the construction of a new building, while the volunteer that came before me worked with the children at the school setting up a theater workshop. Finally and most importantly, the Mouila Mission is rhythmed by a spiritual life, a precious but rare thing to see when one is far from home.

To conclude, it is a beautiful experience of which one cannot but come out of a better person.
