I’m a nurse and I went to the Mission to offer my help in that capacity. But I didn’t only work at the clinic! I helped building it. I also helped in the building of the school, that I painted. I helped animate the Mission Summer Camps; I taught music and theater at the school; I directed the choir on Sunday; I was nurse to the Panthers during their soccer matches, etc… in a word… I had plenty to fill um my days at the Mission. And I enjoyed every bit of it. At the Mission I encountered extraordinary people whom today are my “Gabonese Family” and with whom I keep contact. Canon Fragelli, present every day at the Mission, is like a watching father.  And… there is God… our days are rhythmed by Holy Mass, prayers, the rosary, and weekly adoration. That Faith that at the Mission unites all allowed me to grow in mine, and to understand and to accept with joy the difficulties that I might have encountered.

No one comes back the same; a single hope: return one day!
